What is CBDa?
CBDA is a precursor to CBD. Cannabis plants cannot naturally make CBD. The hemp seed oil of the cannabis plant contains high levels of CBDA, which people then expose to heat to release carbon dioxide.
The release of carbon dioxide is a process called decarboxylation. While using heat is the quickest method of decarboxylating CBDA, the process can occur more slowly with exposure to oxygen or light.
