As cannabinoids, CBD, CBDA, and PEA all interact with the endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for maintaining a healthy balance within our systems. Although these compounds can be used individually as supplements, the combination of hemp extracts and PEA is more effective than just using CBD, CBDA, or PEA alone.
PEA, or palmitoylethanolamide, is an endocannabinoid like compound made by the human body. In our Relief Softgels, we feature patented Levagen®+ (PEA), which has been shown in human clinical studies to support a healthy immune, inflammatory, neurological, and nerve function response.* High stress lifestyles and poor nutrition can lead to a deficiency of PEA. CBDA is the acid bound form of CBD. Unlike commonly used ethanol or butane extraction, the patented water-based extraction method used for our CBDA does not use heat or harsh chemicals and produces the purest source of CBDA.
Both CBD and CBDA are both cannabinoids. CBDA is the acid bound form of CBD found in “raw” or unprocessed hemp. CBD is formed from CBDA in a process called decarboxylation, where it loses a carboxyl group.
