Softened Hemp Fibers
Isn’t hemp rough and uncomfortable? Yes, it is, unless you reengineer the fiber, like we did.
We reverse engineered how these natural materials work and we applied natural fabric softeners like baking soda, white vinegar, lavender oils.
The result … drums … ultra softened hemp fibers!
Are hemp socks good?
Hemp is a fiber that has been used for milenniums. Ancient Egyptians used it to make rope, textiles, fine linen, and sails.
Hemp is a naturally durable fiber that was widely used in textiles and shoes until it was banned in the 70s. Hemp is also naturally anti-bacterial and anti-microbial, breathable and comfortable, which makes it a great option to build footwear and underwear.
Are hemp socks warm?
One of the great hemp properties is its insulation and temperature regulating properties. For that reason our shoes and our hemp socks remain warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Materials: Besides Hemp (53%), in order to make the fabric stretchy we also added cotton (28%), polyester (17%) and Spandex (2%).
Care instructions:
Hemp socks, like any other socks can be machine washed.
You should however avoid washing them with hot temperatures above 30º as hemp is a natural material and if might shrink.
