Hemp

Hemp and marijuana are actually the same species, Cannabis sativa, but they differ legally and chemically. The primary distinction is the concentration of THC, the psychoactive compound. In the U.S., industrial hemp is defined as cannabis containing 0.3% THC or less. Marijuana refers to cannabis with higher THC levels used for recreational or medical “highs.” While marijuana is grown for its resinous buds, hemp is a versatile crop cultivated for fiber, seeds, and CBD.
