CBCa

Cannabichromenic Acid (CBCa) is the raw, acidic precursor to CBC, found primarily in fresh cannabis flowers. As a non-intoxicating compound, it serves as the plant’s “blueprint,” synthesized from CBGa before heat or aging triggers its conversion. While research is still emerging, CBCa is noted for its potent antimicrobial properties, particularly in combating drug-resistant bacteria like MRSA. It also shows potential as an anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective agent by interacting with TRP channels rather than standard CB1 receptors.

Because it is chemically unstable and converts easily, CBCa is typically found in: Raw hemp extracts and “live” resins, Full-spectrum oils (cold-pressed to preserve acids), Topical balms for localized skin issues, and Raw cannabis juices or cold-processed capsules
