SUPERIOR INPUTS:
Our disposables are made with cannabis-quality strain-specific live resin. You may have seen cheaper products containing “live terpenes”, and even “live resin” but it doesn’t compare to strain-specific Live Resin. What’s the difference between them all?
OUR STRAIN-SPECIFIC LIVE RESIN: We carefully select cultivars possessing the best profiles of cannabinoids and terpenes and extract each cultivar separately vs all together. This allows us to formulate each cultivar into the appropriate effect based on its profile.
LIVE RESIN TERPENES: “Live Resin terpenes” is a misleading marketing term. Many brands are marketing “Live Resin Terpenes” by claiming that their hemp terpenes were extracted from uncured plant material, which is actually the industry standard for ‘steam distilled’ terpenes, but this doesn’t make them “Live” let alone containing any “Resin”. Resin (Oleoresin) implies the presence of acidic cannabinoids like CBDa and CBGa and this can be verified on a COA for a more broad range of cannabinoids beyond sole terpenes and the base distillate. Live Terpenes vs actual Live Resin is equivalent to eating the strawberry’s smell (live terpenes) vs eating all of the strawberry minus the green plant material on top (Live Resin).
LIVE RESIN: Live resin that doesn’t specify it is strain-specific means it’s extracted from multiple cultivars which are blended together after extraction. The cultivars extracted are typically mass-produced legacy strains grown for endurance, not effects, flavor, and aroma. We are proud to produce Live Resin products with not only strain-specific but farm-specific extracts sourced from a curated selection of unique hemp farms.
SUPERIOR EFFECTS:
Nearly all carts on the market pair Delta 8 or CBD Distillate with botanical terpenes and because the terpenes are from a Sativa or Indica profile they call the product Indica and Sativa. Frankensteining botanical terpenes together to match a Sativa or Indica plants profile is not the same as using strain-specific cannabis-derived terpenes like we do (we don’t add them in they are in our Live Resin naturally). Terpenes will help guide an effect but on their own the results are minimal. For this reason, we compound formulate our terpene-rich blends with other cannabinoids to create the strongest targeted effects.
SUPERIOR HARDWARE:
There are a lot of hardware options on the market that all basically do the same thing but there are important differences affecting taste, use, and safety. Some hardware is not designed well and can leak. While no device is fail-proof, the top devices (like the ones we use) have a less than 1% fail rate to ensure a good customer experience. We also ensure that there aren’t any toxic glues or metals leaching from the device into your oil. Some disposables are not rechargeable and can go dead before you finish the product; ours are rechargeable. And last but not least our devices heat to a temperature that creates an ideal flavor experience and doesn’t burn the oil making for a smoother draw.
OUR EFFECTS EXPLAINED:
Our entire line starts with a base of Live Resin because it brings in the widest range of photochemistry that has an impact on therapeutic potential, experience, taste, and aroma. Then we compound formulate additional cannabinoids with strain-specific Live Resin chosen for its profile to reach the desired target effects. Our products use the nomenclature Daytrip, Anytime, and Knockout instead of Sativa, Hybrid, and Indica as we feel the latter can be misleading.
DAYTRIP: starts with cultivars possessing cannabinoids and terpenes which will guide the desired Sativa effect for those products including Beta Caryophyllene, CBDv, and THCv.
ANYTIME: starts with cultivars possessing the most aromatic profiles that aren’t dominant in cannabinoids or terpenes that may be energetic or sedating focusing instead on a more balanced experience.
KNOCKOUT: starts with cultivars possessing cannabinoids and terpenes which will guide the desired Indica effect including CBN and Myrcene.
For our LiveResin, we source cultivars from farms doing the greatest work to innovate in our space with thoughtful genetics and farm practices. This includes our friends at Tejas Farms of Texas and East Fork Cultivars of Oregon.
WHAT IS CBD LIVE RESIN?
CBD Live Resin is extracted from the most phytochemistry-dense part of the plant, the flower. We handpick the flower and remove all water leaves so only the flower remains. This gives our Live Resin a superior taste and aroma. Once harvested the flower is immediately frozen so the delicate photochemistry isn’t lost. The final step is the extraction of the frozen material, producing the Live Resin, and purging of all residual solvents used in the extraction process. Nearly all CBD products on the market are made with CBD Distillate which uses the entire plant for extraction and extracts off of dried material which causes a loss of phytochemistry, taste, and aroma.
